Battle Control System (BCS)

Battle Control System (BCS) is a U.S. Air Force Acquisition Category 1 major automated information system program that provides next-generation, air sovereignty command and control for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), U.S. Northern Command and Pacific Command. The system integrates military and civilian radars, tactical data links, and communications to create an integrated air picture for surveillance, identification, battle management, and command and control of North American airspace. BCS is the NORAD system of record and was used to protect the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics restricted airspace.
