ThalesRaytheonSystems signs contract for Malaysian Air Defense Ground Environment upgrade using new digital radar

MASSY, France & FULLERTON, Calif., (April 21st , 2008) – ThalesRaytheonSystems has been awarded a contract by the Ministry of Defense, Government of Malaysia, to upgrade the Malaysian Air Defense Ground Environment system. Financial details of the contract were not disclosed. The upgrade will create a new Air Defense Sector Operations Center and includes the installation of one new long-range air defense radar.

FULLERTON, Calif., (Sept. 6, 2007) – ThalesRaytheonSystems has received a $25.6 million contract to provide the U.S. Air Force with capability upgrades to the Battle Control System-Fixed (BCS-F) for Air Combat Command, NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense) and Air Forces Northern (AFNORTH).

The contract will establish a six-year period of performance with an estimated value of $95 million.

FULLERTON, Calif., (May 11, 2006) – ThalesRaytheonSystems will deliver an integrated air surveillance system to protect Mexico’s homeland and its oil production infrastructure in the Gulf of Mexico. The contract was awarded to ThalesRaytheonSystems by the Mexican Navy and PEMEX-Exploración y Production. PEMEX, one of the United States’ largest oil suppliers, operates a large number of platforms, refineries and other petrochemical facilities in the Gulf.
