The Malaysian Air Defense Ground Environment Sector Operations Center III (MADGE SOC III) program provides the Royal Malaysian Air Force with significant upgrades to their legacy capabilities.
The contract, originally for the addition of a single command and control operations center and long-range air defense radar, was expanded to include multiple operations centers with either Sector Operations Center or Air Defense Operations Center functionality derived from the Sentry® command and control software.
Sentry is the basis for the Battle Control System, which is used operationally by the U.S. Air Force and Canadian Air Force. The MADGE SOC III program continues a long history of cooperation between ThalesRaytheonSystems and the Royal Malaysian Air Force, which dates back to the installation of their first automated command and control air defense system.
