Kim R. Kerry is Chief Executive Officer of ThalesRaytheonSystems’ US Operations.

Founded in June 2001, ThalesRaytheonSystems is the global defense industry’s only structural joint venture equally owned by two industry leaders, Thales and Raytheon.

With sales of $700M in 2005, over 80% of which were made internationally, the company is a worldwide leader in air defense command and control systems and ground-based radars.

The company’s 1400 employees are equally split between its two sites at Massy, near Paris, France and Fullerton, California, USA.

As a member of the ThalesRaytheonSystems Leadership Team, Kim Kerry is responsible for managing the company’s business activities in the US.

Prior to his current position, Kerry was Director of Middle East Operations at Hughes Aircraft Co.  Before this, he was Program Manager of the Peace Shield Program, to supply an air command and control system for the Royal Saudi Air Force.

Kerry also worked as Assistant Program Manager and Technical Director for the Egyptian Air Defense/Command Management system. He has worked in both international and domestic Business Development and has had assignments as Technical Director, Computer Systems Analyst and Operations Analyst.

Before joining Hughes Aircraft Co. as a systems Engineer in 1977, Kerry served in the United States Air Force.

He received his Bachelors  degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Colorado State University in 1972 and has since gone on to complete professional development courses at UCLA.
